Join us
Meno is a research network rather than an employer. We collaborate with researchers who hold their primary appointments elsewhere (PhD programs, postdoc positions, faculty roles, industry labs). Most engagements start with a conversation.
How collaboration works
We do not have salaried positions. We coordinate, co-author, share infrastructure, and help with funding through our fiscal sponsor, Anti Entropy (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit). If your home institution provides your time, we are well placed to provide the rest.
Who we work with
We are looking for people who share our interest in how AI shapes human reasoning, and who want to do careful, technical work on it. That covers a few different profiles:
- PhD students and postdocs working on language model alignment, formal epistemics, computational social science, or learning theory. We collaborate openly with researchers at other institutions.
- Research engineers who want to build evaluation infrastructure and training pipelines for the projects listed on our Projects page.
- Students looking for a thesis topic at the intersection of philosophy of mind, learning theory, and AI safety.
Visiting collaborations
If you have funding through your home institution and want to spend a few months working with us, we welcome that. Reach out with a short note about what you have been thinking about and what you would want to work on.
